Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Culture:
- Champion CSUSA’s Strong Minds, Good Hearts promise through daily coaching practices.
- Establish a positive, disciplined, and inclusive team culture aligned to school expectations and the 5Cs.
- Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, professionalism, and respect.
Student-Athlete Development:
- Support academic success by monitoring eligibility, attendance, and behavior.
- Teach fundamentals, strategy, and advanced skills appropriate for varsity-level competition.
- Promote leadership, accountability, and resilience on and off the field.
- Ensure student-athletes understand expectations for conduct, citizenship, and teamwork.
Coaching & Competition:
- Plan, organize, and lead all practices, games, and team meetings.
- Develop offensive, defensive, and special teams strategies.
- Supervise and support assistant coaches; delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Analyze game film and performance data to improve team outcomes.
Safety, Compliance & Operations:
- Prioritize student-athlete safety, including concussion protocols and heat/conditioning guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with FHSAA, district/state athletic regulations, and CSUSA policies.
- Maintain accurate records (eligibility, rosters, equipment, injuries).
- Inventory, issue, and care for uniforms and equipment.
Family, School & Community Engagement:
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding expectations, schedules, and student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support the whole child.
- Represent the school positively at events, competitions, and community activities.
